About Me

Yash Ramanujam is an Indian American actor, singer, and dancer based in New York City. His passion for the performing arts originated in Indian classical music, which he began studying at a young age. This early interest in music led him to discover the theatre community in high school when he auditioned for The Sound of Music. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Miami, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Some of his favorite roles have been Harry Witherspoon in Lucky Stiff, Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods, and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Recently, he was seen in Legally Blonde at the John W. Engeman Theater. Currently, he is portraying Abbu Mussad in the developmental workshop of Dangerous: A Noir Musical, written by John C. Introcaso and Michael Colby, under the direction of Denis Jones.

When he’s not performing you can find him reading the newest fantasy series, rewatching Gilmore Girls yet again, or trying a new cuisine with friends.
